Innovative technology to make wall masonry even easier: FOME FLEX GLUE BLOCKS foam adhesive with ultra-strong adhesion

Masonry works can be even simpler, faster and more efficient from now on. Experience this for yourself by trying FOME FLEX GLUE BLOCKS polyurethane foam glue for blocks and stone and discover how the extremely high adhesion force and both heat and cold resistant properties guarantee comfortable working conditions.

FOME FLEX GLUE BLOCKS feature a special polyurethane-based absorbent, gel technology foam, suitable for gluing various elements, such as building blocks, bricks, stone or other materials that require strong adhesion. The glue is also suitable for gluing silicate, gas silicate, concrete, ceramic and other types of blocks. It can be used for building partitions, walls or retaining walls.

FOME FLEX GLUE BLOCKS polyurethane foam adhesive is head and shoulders above the quality of other commonly used materials for masonry work. For example, dry mixes can take up to 3-7 days to bond while you will achieve the same result in just 15 minutes using this new technology foam glue.

With up to 120 tonnes of shear adhesion per square metre, FOME FLEX GLUE BLOCKS foam adhesive has another unique feature – a significantly wider working temperature range. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, this product can be used in temperatures ranging from -5 °C to +30 °C. By using FOME FLEX GLUE BLOCKS, you can easily carry out masonry work in all seasons, in contrast to the help of conventional mixtures, which can only be used when the thermometer column reaches +10 °C.

What’s more, by replacing the dry mix with foam glue, the work can be completed approximately 30% faster. For example, when using dry mixes in winter, it takes up to 28 days for them to harden, while with FOME FLEX GLUE BLOCKS it takes just 24 hours.

The new glue is based on an innovative seamless technology that causes the seam to shrink slightly rather than expand.  It is blown into a gel-like mass that penetrates into the interior of the block, thus ensuring full adhesion and eliminating the risk of cold bridges. FOME FLEX GLUE BLOCKS foam glue also does not expand and has a yield of 55 m/ 2 cm seam – about 10 m2 blocks.

FOME FLEX GLUE BLOCKS foam glue is easy to use – shake the bottle vigorously, screw on the gun, and clean the working surface thoroughly at a positive temperature. Next, turn the bottle with the valve down and adjust the foam spray flow by turning the valve at the end of the gun handle. The first row of blocks must be levelled in the usual way – with a dry mix adhesive mortar. Then spray the glue seam at a distance of 1 cm, in strips, as shown in the diagram. Spray the glue on both horizontal and vertical surfaces; when it shrinks a little, immediately press the surfaces together.

For blocks up to 130 mm, one seam is enough, while larger ones will need two seams. The seam thickness for aerated/porous concrete blocks should reach 2-3 cm, and for calibrated ceramic blocks – 5-6 cm.

Seams can be adjusted for up to 2 minutes. If the foam is used at low temperatures, the bottle must be warmed up to +18 °C by placing it in warm water or keeping it in a warm room.
